FOLLOWg via Twitter

Way #1.  Find webmasters and bloggers who blog about topics you’re in the know or have questions about.  Comment in those sites/blogs and at the same time, ask for a follow via Twitter.

The Faster Mass-Following Way via Twitter

Way #2.  Say you’re giving out cash prize to 3 lucky ppl by xxx date.  Blog about it.  Tweet your URL and watch the numbers climb.  This happened to @JohnAguiar and a few other bloggers, including star bloggers Alvin Phang and John Chow.

Way #3.  Find people to follow by using an auto-adder software like FollowFormation.com – great if you have no time to check out Twitter Directories where people are listed by their interests/industry.   Check out who are followed.  Interact. Maintain (relationships).

Way #4.  This is similar to Way 2.  Maryanne, a Twitter member herself, has a steller reputation when it comes to helping people get more followers (although not targetted followers according to interests), check out Tweetersonline.com

Way #5.  TwitterFriends.org allows you to earn credits while following people  randomly or of your interest.  (You can choose who you wanna follow – one by one.  Or follow all!)

Within minutes, I realise I accumulated more than 50 credits (credits are used to reward those who follow you).

What I like about this is that the system does not unethically spam your followers.  No auto-tweets!  And if you are not sure of  social ethiquette, click on their ETHICS link.

Beware though!  This free service can get really addictive!!  Everytime I refresh the page to see who else I can follow, I see  messages like “24 people followed you!”  is this qool or what?

Try TwitterFriends.org

How do you mass-unfollow and based on what factor do you mass unfollow?

Last but not least, getting followers is not about an ego-boost, it’s about getting people who are interested in benefitting from reading your tweets.
