Hey - it's good to see you again! :) If you see a short excerpt here and wish to read more, click on the Green Title for Full Story.

I ordered (an old wire) from Sega Saturn console from them.

After 12 days I filed a dispute via PayPal.  I know for sure if it had come from the USA, it would have arrived in 5 days already.

But they are from Hong Kong and it should not take more than 10 days to reach me in Singapore.

The billing person replied saying their customer service support dept has been informed and that they will get back to me in “due
course”.

What does that suppose to mean?  Should they not settle the problem asap?  Such a reply literally leaves the customer (me) hanging and waiting!

I had to reply this billing person to ask for a direct contact email address as there’s no other information on its site on how to pursue or enquire about my wire.

I was told not to rely on PayPal.com/s service and instead complain directly to my bank who will then FORCE a full refund minus charge-back fees to them, the seller.  But this has to be done within 30 days of the date of purchase.

I will give them up to 29th Dec 09 (Tuesday) for the wire to arrive, failing which I will inform my bank for further action.

Although this purchase is only US$5.99 this little amount of money can mean life and death to me as I am not employed.

I really think Play-Asia should be more transparent about the number of days it takes to deliver worldwide, and to publish the information on their website.  Otherwise customers will simply feel “Kena-Played”.

Update: Dear Kelly, the wire arrived on 28th Dec.  So I’ve closed the dispute!

Another complaint related to Play-Asia on ComplaintsBoard.  It seems their problem is they don’t use trackable shipments as they do not charge extra for delivery.

My  verdict:  Play-Asia does not scam but a legitimate corporation whom you can buy game-related products from but do not expect very fast delivery.
