Hey - it's good to see you again! :) If you see a short excerpt here and wish to read more, click on the Green Title for Full Story.

What Traditional Chinese Medicine (CTM) prescribe:

12 grams of Ban La Gen
12 grams of Lian Qiao (forsythia fruit)
12 grams ^Niu Bang Zi (great burdock fruit aka Arctium)
10 grams of ^^Huang Qin (burdock root)
8 grams of Bo He (mint leaves)
6 grams Gan Cao (licorice)

to be placed in a ceramic pot (good choice as it is unlike Teflon-based cookware and will not cause any toxic that will trigger cancer or other toxic-related ailments) of 4 cups of water to bring to boil.

This mixture should be left to cool for at least 30 minutes before straining to drink.  Drink one cup, 3 times a day (before or after a meal).

If you have a cold, traditional Chinese doctors recommend consuming porridge with lotus rhizome, Mung beans, fresh vegetables like chinese cabbage, turnips, pears, ginger and spring onion, while avoiding greasy food and seafood.

^Niu Bang Zi (great burdock fruit aka Arctium)  Helps to moderate seizures in epilepsy and vaccine-related seizures.  Avoid for diarrhea, open sores (does not induce sweating so may not be prescibed for those without fever).  Not meant to be taken in large doses.

^^Huang Qin (aka Burdock Root, Skullcap Root, Chinese Barbed Skullcap, Arctium Lappa, Lappa or “Poor Man’s Potatoes”) is popular with the Japanese.   Containing about 27-45% inulin, it is very effective in helping to normalise blood sugar levels (great for diabetics as many diabetics sufferers will eventually stop responding to insulin injections and would require dialysis instead). Other Treatments under Chinese Traditional Medicine

Acupuncture may be able to stop the cold from spreading to bronchial tubes and lungs.  Even for non-sick people, regular acupuncture can imrpove body’s defense energy and internal balance.  Especially when our body system may still be upset by invisible electrical energy around the house WHILE you are sleeping and unaware – this is mentioned in Dr. Carolyn Dean’s informative and witty material (free – just register for your free PDF document, it’s free from any third-party commercials.)

Yep, make sure you sign up to receive the latest issues of her newsletter via email.  As a member of Dr. Dean’s Future Health Now! , every 7 days you receive a new password which allows you to download a new module in the program. There are 48 modules in total (Dr. Dean is author of 18 other health books that you can find in good bookstores and on Amazon as well.)

There’s a lot to say for “Acupressure” as well.  Western doctors have adapted this therapy as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).  EFT is a popular non-drug treatment used by many doctors for asthma and even in reducing human psychological fear (for example, fear of heights, insects, etc).  Mark (one of my respected Bloggersbase friend) has blogged about EFT so check it out and look closely by a comment by Dr. Julie Roberts!
