Just the other day someone told me that the GLOBAL WARMING is a hoax.  Do we pounce on the environmentalist who say so?  Do we pounce on those who said Global Warming is a hoax?  What action should we take??

Recently I received this from my Care2 network (see below).  Care2 is not exactly a blogging community but it’s where activists unite (some call themselves feminists but they all mean the same to me ) and post WORTHY news.  I gauge that about 85% (or above) of posted news at least serve a purpose in helping others, animals and environments in some form.

But what if one day you, a Care2 member, are accused of spreading fake news (via email or otherwise) ?  Do you think this can happen to you, even if remotely?

Maria posted a story about a celebrity who supposedly shot a cat 13 times. This story turned out to be a hoax. Some people have left pretty nasty comments – and she has not posted news stories for a while. Please write her – tell her we are grateful for her contribution and one slip does not make her a piece of rubbish/stupid as some of the comments would have us believe.

Some people at Care2 have lost their manners completely!

Maria, thank you for your continued efforts to bring us news. I appreciate you and hold you in high esteem. Ignore the sickos – and please continue giving us news.

Raffi and Rosemary and some other members are experiencing severe health challenges. Please send them strong and healing thoughts.

I am in total agreement with Eureka!   I’ve known Maria for her excellent news submission on animal welfare, animals saved by individuals or PETA or the ASPCA, etc.  Maria’s passion in encouraging compassion towards animals and other sentient beings is OBVIOUS!!  There is NO QUESTION about it!   So STOP bashing her!!!

Is it possible to preach compassion without being a role model yourself?  I don’t think it’s possible!   If you cannot be compassionate to your fellow-members, how do you teach others to be compassionate?

And there’s also the non-physical harm when people put others down unnecessarily.  Low self-esteem CAN lead to obesity!  (Sounds funny but it’s true!)

Before any Care2 members  ‘jump’ on another Care2 member, think first if the same thing could have happened to you?  Post links, compare news, help verify news!  There’s no need to show your gun, no one on Care2 is a terrorist!  lol

Mend your relationships now; “SORRY” is one of the most powerful words you could ever use (but also be sincere about it!)
Turn your attention to even GREATER hoax that harm more people than you’ve ever imagined and on a large scale!

Probably a lot of people have no idea that there is not one single WILD WOLF in history, who has ever attacked human.  ZERO.  Nada.  Zilch!  And yet they are hunted DOWN because a wolf took a sheep, because it is in nature for wolves to hunt and eat!

It’s people like Maria in Care2 who inform and educate about animals.  Care2 is about making a difference.  You may be making a difference and so is Maria!

Maria, you are a pillar and a lighthouse! Don’t ever stop your loving nature because of nay-sayers.  Be strong and be the sister I’ve always known you to be!
