Hey - it's good to see you again! :) If you see a short excerpt here and wish to read more, click on the Green Title for Full Story.

[This article was originally posted in Bloggersbase.]  In this part, we’ll look at myths surrounding bad cholesterol, eggs, dairy products and sun-blocks.

Bad cholesterol is the cause of heart disease.

The TRUTH: Like fats, cholesterol may be damaged by exposure to heat, oxygen and free radicals. Both good and bad cholesterol are not immune to such exposure.

Free radicals are what’s in the air and around food, that causes this oxidization; free radicals cause your freshly-cut apples to go brown (an obvious sign of oxidization). The free radicals make dairy products more “sticky” and tend to stick to the walls of arteries.  This sticky stuff is known as ‘plaque’. You can see the plaque stuck in diseased hearts from post mortem-ed bodies of heart attack victims (my uncle was one, he was just 41 when he passed away and he ate a lot of meat in his heydays).

The plaque found in diseased arteries and hearts can range from yellow to white – exactly the same colours of those found in cheese and milk (read more below!)

The oxidization of cholesterol (fats) is what contributes to the pathological buildup of plaque in the arteries. It’s not whether good or bad cholesterol; it’s whether the fat is oxidized.

“Good” and “bad” cholesterol are both repair substances that help heal arterial damage. In fact, there are some trace elements and enzymes in “bad cholesterol” that the body needs. Cholesterol is not the cause of heart disease but rather a potent antioxidant weapon against free radicals in the blood.

Dr. Kradjian said,”You gums are a good indication of what’s in your heart.  The same plaque forms in gums and hearts.”

Conclusion: Cholesterol was never really the cause of heart diseases. Free radicals are the cause.

Milk, cheese and eggs are good.

THE TRUTH: Glycosphingolipids in whole milk is fat that protects against gastrointestinal infections, especially in the very young and the elderly. For this reason, children who drink skimmed milk have diarrhea at rates three to five times greater than children who drink whole milk.

Damaged cholesterol is found in powdered eggs (processed eggs into commercial egg powder) and in milk powder (funny they also add milk powder to some “reduced-fat milks” to give them more body). Damaged cholesterol is also found in meats and fats that have been heated to high temperatures in frying and other high-temperature processes.

Damaged cholesterol may be in your means french fries and hashbrowns (won’t matter if the potatoes are “best” in the country/world), deep-fried vegetarian mock meat (made of unfermented soya bean), etc.[In fact more and more people realise just how much healthier butter and coconut oil, when compared to margarine (hydrogenated vegetable oil which is also trans-fat) and soya bean oil (soya bean oil stinks anyway lol ).]

Removing fat from cows’ milk is not the answer and this is what makes SKIMMED MILK dangerous, particularly to children.

The irony is skimmed milk and full cream milk have given rise to the increasing number of children who become lactose-intolerant.  Even more irony – soya bean milk does not make a better milk substitute!

You may be interested to read Dr. Robert M. Kradjian’s Famous Milk Letter. – one that he wrote to his patients.  And I am not going into the evils of aspartame and artificial sugar that may be found in processed food and milk powder (the info is just immense to MAKE a book!)   lol

Conclusion: Today’s cheese, egg products and milk are not as healthy people think they are.

Sun-Block protects the Body from unsightly age spots, freckles.

THE TRUTH: If you try to “bake” your body, age spots don’t appear but your skin will start to peel and hurt. If you try sunning ANYTHING for too long, it will resemble a dry leather handbag. Just where are the age-spots?

Today’s sunblocks work! If you have sun protective cream slathered on your whole body except for a turtle-shaped area on your tummy (or back for that matter) you will have a ‘tanned turtle’ on your belly. But it is a fraudalent product. Let me explain futher….

Have you ever noticed how very anaemic people (lacking vigor, vitality due to insufficient iron in body) never seem to get age spots no matter how much sun they get? Not suggesting that you should go off foods rich in iron just to achieve a spot-free and freckles-free complexion, but these anaemic people are one of the keys to how the body works in conjunction with what the media says is bad – Mother Nature’s SUN!

Know this – the real problem is not the sun, but as with most health problems, there are dietary issues involved. Dr. Raymond Peat gave a formula for the cause of brown age-spots: (colour may vary!):

*Omega-6 oil (found mostly in unsaturated fat/cooking oil) + body’s supply of iron (eg. from food that the body uses to manufacture its own iron) + Oxidisation

Like pimples/acne, age spots HAVE TO come from the inside out!

Conclusion: The sun is not the culprit for the age-spots people get. On the contrary, the sun helps the body produce #Vitamin D!

#Vitamin D and magnesium must be present in the body in order for calcium to
be properly assimiliated and (magnesium regulates calcium). And the sun is the
most natural aid Mother Nature has provided to you – to help the body create
its own safe Vitamin D! (Insufficient magnesium forces the body to pull calcium
from other organs making those organs weaker so it’s VERY important to eat the
right kind of food.)  There is another vitamin that they don’t say: Vitamin
K (Do a google on it!)

I recently have information of a new product that is Vitamin D in a bottle. They recommend that bottles should be stored upright between 10-30 degrees Celsius. This Vitamin D product has also been revealed on HereBeforeOprah.com

So! If you are using it, feel free to add comments about it, or blog about it AND let me know your URL link so I can visit! Thanks!

* VERY little of Omega-6 oils is needed by the body to keep healthy; an excess of it stimulates the progression of cancer. Facts and fallacies of the Omega-3 oils may be revealed in a future part of Health Myths Busted series!
