Nine Things About BlogRolls or TweetRolls…or is it TwitRolls? Okie…now after reading about why people follow and unfollow on Twitter for the past 2 weeks, it’s time for me to self-analyse what and whys of my blogroll!
#1 I only add blogs (or Twitter profile pages) I really really like without expecting a link back. Yes, part of what makes me satisfied – my blog’s WP dashboard makes me feel a lil like superwoman. Total 100% control of my blog (well, almost)!
#2 If you did ask for a blogroll exchange, it won’t mean I won’t consider. But it also doesn’t mean I will respond to give you a reply. No guarantees made!
#3 I never ask for blogroll or twitroll exchange! It’s more likely I’d ask you for a small favour….like, commenting in my blog and in exchange I visit yours to give quality comments.
#4 Similarly you have all freedom to add or not to add my blog to your blogroll or twitroll! With or without informing me – it’s all up to you power-bloggers!
#5 Yes, I already have a few in mind blogs in mind that I’d like to add to my blogroll next week. I only look at my blogroll weekly. I look at my Swissroll more often though!
#6 The thought of a long blogroll that stretches to miles and miles when printed on paper – SCARES me!
#7 The thought that I’ve left out some very good blogs in my blogroll scares me too! lol
#8 Links in blogroll may not be permanent as I remove them for my own reasons (for eg. trying not to get Google slaps again). So don’t ask why! It’s nothing personal.
#9 If you’ve an established and ethical site with no past criminal convictions, it’s more likely a blog stays in my blogroll (or twitroll). [Thanks to Grundy for teaching me "Twitroll"!]
The above are not ‘rules’ but they help me to put more order to a small part of my blog. And yeah, I actually picked up this “writing skill” from Atherton!
All who do not obey the words of the blogger will have their Heads Roll! Just kidding! haha
