The 2 Most Overlooked SEO Tactics for Getting More Backlinks
The 2 Most Overlooked SEO Tactics for getting more Backlinks Major and not-so-major search engines view links as a sign of trust. As such, bloggers try to get as many backlinks (other people’s blogs linking to your blog) as they possibly can. (I am always in the opinion of leaving quality comments, it’s not all about the quantity of comments all the time.)
1. Lurking around in others’ blogs
You may be losing one good backlink to your own blog if you are lurking around in blogs, and not posting quality comments. (Although commenting in a blog whose Page ranking is the same or higher than yours, is more effective than commenting in say 100 blogs whose PR is zero or lower than yours, it doesn’t mean a blog whose PR is 0 now will remain PR 0 forever. Look at its related links and the value a blog gives. The more value a blog gives, the more likely it’s gonna rank higher.)
2. Not adding related trackbacks (links to external blogs) in your blog
Many bloggers track who links to them, and read those posts. You may just (have the chance) to gain one more loyal reader or commenter to your blog by adding related trackbacks in your blog entries. Not to mention, linking out to useful websites from your blog is one of the cheapest form of marketing available.
